My first reward for hitting the -30 lbs. mark?

A NEW PURSE!!! Not just any purse, THE purse! I will soon be on the quest for such a find. I love a good purse. I am so selective, too! I have to have just the right size, right # of pockets, right length of straps, right texture and the right color! I tend to pack my purses till they wear out! For the past few years I have been quite partial to my back-pack style purse. The first one I remember seeing was on Rebecca Sower at one of the Nashville conventions...along with her Mary Jane style shoes (another passion of mine). It is funny when you find things that you love only to find others who share the same love!

The accompanying photo was from the day following my surgery. I apologize for the 'grumpy' look! I am usually behind the camera so handing the cam over to Char and trusting him to get a good shot, well, let's just say, it was a risk in itself! heheee.....Oh well, he missed the smile and I look like I was really ticked off, but at least I have the picture! Those pants are huge on me now! Sometime this week, I will have to post a new pic of me in the pants that I haven't been able to wear in about 2 years! Snug but they work.

I went shopping at the Good Will store this week. I found 1 pair of jeans and several tops. I like to scour the racks for anything that still has the tags on them or the ones which look like they are brand new and the inside labels aren't showing signs of being washed. Those are my favorite finds. The very best part of the whole excursion, instead of 2X they are all XL! You know, when I reach my goal of a size 12, I think I will find so many good things at that store! Believe me, when you are a 2X, you see them all....I am anxious to see if I see them when I am a size 12! I sure hope I can still spot them! I have this strange love of sweaters and boy did I see so many of them! Too bad that we don't have lots of chilly weather for a longer amount of time so I can really enjoy wearing them. I think I could wear them year round! I try to, I must say a good summer weight sweater is awesome!
