THE PURSE!!!

Ok....so I am 11 lbs over my initial goal (30 lbs.) where I set my reward as a new purse. Took me a long time to finally decide which purse I wanted...there are soooo many out there. I did get it this weekend....FINALLY! I settled on a Vera Bradley in Petal Pink and I also got the little wallet with the strap. Isn't it lovely???

I realize that not everyone is a Vera fan...and I am truly not one to jump on board for the namebrand thing (unless we are talking scrapbooking!)...but I have admired her bags for a while now. And, while I don't have to have every new fabric, style or piece of the collection, I am happy with the choice I have made. I think I admire them for the simplicity of style and the utilitarian use....so practical. I believe they are the exact type of bag that I would make myself....since I do sew and am fully capable of doing so. I like practicality and usefullness and I have never spent so much on a bag in my entire life....and actually, I was going to only purchase the wallet and Char, who took me shopping, pursueded me to go on and get the bag. (Did I mention he is sooo good to me?) I will say, when I do get a purse, I carry it forever...usually until it is beyond its life span!! So I will definitely use it well. PLUS..it is machine washable! Of course, it had to be pink! I am so into pink.....I just love pink. My bedroom would be pink if Char wouldn't object....ehheehee! My studio is pink and white...the pink is aged looking as I did a wash over it that really made it look like the pink in some of the Basic Grey papers......I LOVE IT! Since I painted over a textured wallpaper, it adds to the whole BG effect as well! I am still not so sure that my bedroom won't eventually be this same antiqued pink.....I do so drool for it to be! Hey, I am even dressed in pink...right down to the new bra I bought!! ehheheehee!!! TMI????
