Faith....
If you hadn't noticed, there is a common thread within my blog: FAITH. Faith is part of a thread from which I am woven. An important part of who I am and what I do. My faith has been weak and my faith has been strong. My faith has held me together when all seemed hopeless. My faith is important to me and I exercise it daily, more oft than not, minute by minute. There are times in my life where all I have to hold fast to is my faith that everything is a part of a larger picture. My father in heaven tells me in his word that Faith:

Is how I am to live:
2 Corinthians 5:7
"We live by faith, not by sight."

Something I should excel at:
2 Corinthians 8:7
"But just as you excel in everything—in faith..."

Is my blessing:
Galatians 3:9
"So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith."

Gives me freedom:
Galatians 3:25
"Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law."

Is my shield:
Ephesians 6:16
"In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."

Something for me to hold fast to:
1 Timothy 1:19
"holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith."

And so much more! You can search for yourself over at www.biblegateway.com . There you can do a keyword search or even a topical search on the word. Faith is more that just a word. It is a 'present-active-participle'. It is a constant action. More than just a word indeed. It is an activity of daily life, my daily life. My faith gets tested daily and daily my faith grows. My faith brings me such joy even in the midst of turmoil and confusion I can trust my faith.
