When God shows up, he shows out....
Ok...life got tough this past week. If I said that 'strange things' have happened all week, it would be inaccurate verbage...they weren't strange at all, at least to me and probably to other believers who are open to receive what God is revealing. It might be best if I said that God things have been happening all week....hmmm?? Yeah, that would best describe my week. He has really shown up and he has really shown out. He is wonderful! I have done some things in his name that I have never done before. He has answered me in some ways that have left me dumbfounded and amazed!
First, I won't go into any detail about what is going on right now, but I will say that I am calling on any and all prayer warriors to pray without ceasing right now. I am in one of the biggest spiritual battles that I have ever faced. It has actually been an ongoing one but one that has recently resurfaced with a vengence. God has been at ever encounter. He has been in control. He has given me such peace in the midst of heartache. He has promised me victory and I claim it. He has given me open doors and others who will be instrumental in the battle. He has given me scripture after scripture. I cling to the scripture he gave me on Wed....the post previous to this one. I see him at work in an amazing way and know that the deliverance will be life changing.
My latest verse to cling to has been in relation to Jesus performing a miracle by driving out an evil spirit from a man's son in Mark 9. The man said "If..." and Jesus said "If?....Everything is possible to him who believes." (v. 23) From there Jesus cast out the spirit. When questioned by his disciples on why they couldn't cast this spirit out, he answered, "This kind can not be driven out by anything but prayer and fasting." This story fit my current battle and his answer could not have been more clear. I am calling this spirit out of my child through prayer and fasting.
Prayer and fasting. Prayer and fasting. That is how the victory will come. Please join me in praying and fasting as I am in this battle. I have never fasted before, not really fasted. I am doing a bit of research into fasting so I can do a big fast. But for now, I am planning a day of fasting a week. Wednesday will be the best day cause the kids will be in bible study that night and that means I can get by without actually cooking a meal. Some have recommended that instead of fasting the entire day from morning to morning, to fast from noon one day to noon the next. That might work well at least until I adjust for fasting. If any of you readers have had experience with fasting, please comment or email me with your insight. I welcome any and all input.
Oh, and thanks for all the prayers!

Hugs and prayers, my friend.
Fasting... I know a lot of spiritual traditions go from sunup to sundown. The technical "day."
I am praying...
